Today I took a Special Journey. I received Kundalini Reiki Attunement #2 From my husband, Reiki Master/Teacher - Frank Dickinson. It is such a privilege to be taught by him, such a compassionate, kindhearted,gentle, insightful and wise man.

Attunement II


After a good grounding, I received my Level 2 Kundalini Reiki Attunement. This was a gentler experience than my first attunement. The energy was still active within me from the grounding.. I immediately felt a subtle surge, resting in my wrist. After a few minutes I felt a tightening around my heart... then it released.

I sat with palms up and had a heart in each palm.. the hearts flew from my palms to in front of me, each heart forming a wing of a cherub. The little fella fluttered about.. then flitted away. I next felt a tightening in my knees.. then to my abdomen. It was a pressure that I needed to continue, so I pressed my 2 hands horizontally on my tummy....

A vivid bright golden light began to shine.. the rays coming towards me. I raised my arms up, palms facing up.. receiving the energy the rays were sending me. I lifted my head to take in as much as I could and at the same time giving thanks for this gift I was receiving. Leaning my head back a bit, I saw a fountain, water and all, coming out of me where my heart lies. The sprays of the fountain were in different shades of blue ( I think).....

as it subsided, the energy ended....

such a peaceful feeling I am left with.

What is Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900's.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life.

Reiki's use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, Goddess, All That Is, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion or spiritual tradition rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Usui Reiki Ryoho system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

1The Meaning Of The Reiki Kanji

The word "Reiki" [pronounced ray-key] is made of two Japanese words Rei and Ki.

Rei means "God's Wisdom" or "The Higher Power." The Rei symbol is above the middle line shown in the Japanese kanji.

Ki means "life force energy." The Ki symbol is below the middle line shown in the Japanese kanji.

So the Reiki symbol or kanji means, "Spiritually guided Life Force energy." It is, perhaps, the God/dess-Wisdom, or Supra-Consciousness called Rei that guides the life energy called Ki in the practice we call Reiki. The God/dess Light or Life Light of the Universe.
