LIVING YOUR DREAM

What is your dream life? Is it having the most toys, the biggest house,  being a size 2 or having  the best of everything?

I am one of the fortunate ones that I am finally living my dream life. Yes, I am a size 2, it may be a 2 plus, but it's a 2! I have a husband that adores me and I him.  It is that last sentence that is my dream life. You see, I get to enjoy each and every day knowing that my husband is here, by my side and has my back. What a great feeling that is. He loves me for who I am, inside and out. We enjoy each others company in every respect. How rich I am.  How blessed I am. How thankful I am.
So am I living my dream life?  You Bectcha!

How are you living your Dream Life?  I would love to hear what turns your crank.
(btw.. there is no right or wrong answers or dreams... to each their own)

10 Questions I Ponder

Why do people ask questions when they really do not want the truth?
Why in body piercing jewelry does the gauge# get larger as the actual size gets smaller?
Why can't I have my cake and eat it too?
What is it about toasted Ravioli and Green Bean Casserole that gets Mid Westerners all excited?
What is the purpose of fingernails and toenails?
Why must it be so smelly to grow mushrooms?
Why is Velveeta allowed to be passed off as cheese? The same question applies for them individually wrapped slices of wax known as Kraft Singles?
Speaking of cheeses, who in the hell buys Limburger cheese anymore?
Why do so many parents hate Barney?
What is my obsession with Judge shows and Reality TV all about?

An Ancestor Reading

I would like to share with you a reading I had by Kathy Crabbe, aka SoulReader. This was an extremely emotional reading that I want to share.. no, I have to Share.

( the artwork displayed is also by Kathy Crabbe. Please visit her website @ www.soulreaderblog.blogspot.com to see some more amazing and beautiful artwork, please meet this lovely soul.)

An Ancestor Reading for RuthAnn Dickinson

*This reading was done for RuthAnn in late August, 2009) You can read my comments at the end of this post. They are inside the brackets []*

This reading is in response to your wish for a connection with Jeffrey, Geraldine or Bill.

I believe that it is Jeffrey that I am connecting with at this time.

- Jeffrey makes me smile – he has a wide face, very open to everything and smiling.

- He really wants to play!

- I see him with straight, short hair that was blonde when he was young and then it darkened to beigey-light brown when he got older.

- He appears to be a bit pudgey (overweight), but comfortably so.

- I’m also getting an image of you wearing tall black boots and he’s picking you up off the ground.

- Someone named ‘Jimmy’ is around too.

- He shows me the backyard (grassy) where he used to play. I also see trees changing color (Pennsylvania?)

- Was he your older brother?

- I am getting the number ‘51’ in relation to his death.

- He did like sports, but was good at other things as well – such as accounting.

- He was a warm man and liked to flirt too, but that got him in trouble!

- His wife appears quite plain (Ann?) with straight blonde hair. She appears practical and simple and he says, “She was a good mother to our kids… (I see three) …whereas I didn’t always do what was good for me!”

For you RuthAnn, he says, “I always admired you. You knew what your were doing.”

- I’m also seeing that he may have sensed his own death ahead of time.

- In regards to how he died, I get a sense of pinching (of veins, arteries?) and shrinking, a caving in on himself.

- He comes really close (to me) to say that he “always loved you.”

- I’m also seeing some sort of blue-grey ring with a flower petal like silver lacing around it. Then he says, “Remember me dear heart” and he clutches your hand and the ring.

- I say good bye to him and I see him leaving with a small fluffy white ball of a dog and he waves goodbye (he may be riding a bike also).

RuthAnn's Comments are in brackets [ ] below:

[This has been the most emotional reading yet… a release of tears that I so dispiritedly needed. I yearn for more time with him. I need to find a way to contact him myself. I have been trying to do so for 32 years. I still trust him alone to guide me… for he knew what he was doing.. only he didn’t know that.

I can not thank you enough for this reading… emotions that I have buried far too long are being released... although it is sad, it is also cleansing. Thank you.]

I believe that it is Jeffrey that I am connecting with at this time. I am so happy it was Jeffrey that you connected with.

- Jeffrey makes me smile – he has a wide face, very open to everything and smiling. [Jeffrey was always smiling and made all that were around him smile]

- I see him with straight, short hair that was blonde when he was young and then it darkened to beigey-light brown when he got older. [His hair was almost white when he was a toddler , and turned a dark brown as he grew up]

- He appears to be a bit pudgey (overweight), but comfortably so. [Jeff was only 5’5” and we like to say “sturdy” or “stocky.”]

- I’m also getting an image of you wearing tall black boots and he’s picking you up off the ground. [I use to jump into his fishing waders and get stuck.. so he’d have to lift me out.]

- He shows me the backyard (grassy) where he used to play. I also see trees changing color (Pennsylvania?) [We grew up in eastern PA… he and I would play in the backyard which blended into a large grassy field.]

- Was he your older brother? [Yes, 4 years older than me and my hero.. he always looked out for me.]

- I am getting the number ‘51’ in relation to his death. [hmmm the only thing that comes to mind is that I will be 51 in 2 months]

- He did like sports, but was good at other things as well – such as accounting. [He played football and fished. He also liked using an abacus]

- He was a warm man and liked to flirt too, but that got him in trouble![Boy, did it ever get him in to trouble... that makes me smile… his flirting was in such a giving manner.]

- His wife appears quite plain (Ann?) with straight blonde hair. She appears practical and simple and he says, “She was a good mother to our kids… (I see three) …whereas I didn’t always do what was good for me!” [His wife’s name was Susan and she has blonde hair and looks like Joanne Woodward. They did not have children, but I have 3.]

For you RuthAnn, he says, “I always admired you. You knew what your were doing.” [Jeffrey was the only one of my family that believed in me and supported me unconditionally.]

- I’m also seeing that he may have sensed his own death ahead of time… [Yes, for he committed suicide.]

- In regards to how he died, I get a sense of pinching (of veins, arteries?) and shrinking, a caving in on himself.[ *tears* for his internal suffering in life and in death. It is good to know he is the happy-go-lucky Jeffrey in his eternal life.]

- He comes really close (to me) to say that he “always loved you.” [I never doubted his love.. not even now.]

- I’m also seeing some sort of blue-grey ring with a flower petal like silver lacing around it. Then he says, “Remember me dear heart” and he clutches your hand and the ring. [I shall be on the look out for that ring, a day does not go my without him in my heart… always... always with me.]

- I say good bye to him and I see him leaving with a small fluffy white ball of a dog and he waves goodbye (he may be riding a bike also).
[I so wish he would come visit me.. I miss him terribly.. I do need him]

In Memory of Jeffrey Alan Roland - you are very loved.

It's Saturday Night and The Dickinsons Are Getting Cleaned Up

The other day my husband Frank wrote a blog entitled “Cleaning House – Sacred Sage Smudging Ceremony”. He wrote that blog after I returned home from our Herbalists shop with a couple ounces of sage sprigs to cleanse our home from the bad juju that has accumulated in the past 5 years we have been living in it. It was and is time to have a ceremonial sage cleansing.

For the past few years, Frank and I have been working on our spirituality, our impact on the environment, our relationship with those we love or yet to meet to love as well as many other aspects of our lives. The inventory was taken and now it is time to rebuild, restructure and firm up our foundation.

Friday when I returned home from my workday, I found my home was being maneuvered around, room by room, swapping and switching everything up. Rugs were meticulously steamed cleaned by Frank, while our daughter and our Chad were moving the furniture about. Only 1 room remained as it was—our bedroom *s*. Heather and Chad’s room became our office, our office became their bedroom (it was originally a living room), and the dinning room became our grandson, Keygan’s playroom. The kitchen which also doubled as Heather’s mini office was turned into the dinning area. And the little vestibule between the front door and kitchen became Keygan’s sleep area.
As you can tell, our family takes up every available nook and cranny within a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. We wanted to make sure everyone has their space and not merely crammed in a hap hazard manner. In these trying economic times, families need to come together and help wherever they can, however they can. For us, it was combining households to help make ends meet, for all of us.

Okay, there you have the background information for the crux of this blog.

It is now Saturday evening, 10:41 and the rooms are all put together, rugs almost sparkling they are so clean, heads are sleeping peacefully on their respective pillow.Such busy lil bees they were!

We had a huge Ah Ha moment when we went into the basement to get our Tarot Cards. There was no way to wade through, move boxes stacked on other boxes and squeeze between the cracks to even get close to them. We looked at each other and said “shame on us”.

Tomorrow Chad is our Grill Master/smoker. Whilst he is tending the savory meat, the rest of us are dragging everything out of the basement, scrubbing it clean and recycling what we don’t use to those that need it, toss what is broken and unable to fix and then organize properly. We felt that we were in an episode of Clean Houseand at any moment
Niecy Nash was going to appear and say “OOoooooo Such foolishness and mayhem!” She would be absolutely correct.

For how can we strengthen our foundation when the core is in complete shambles? Bottom Up is the motto of Sunday, August 23. By the time the smoke master is ready to call us for vitals, it really will be bottoms up in celebration of cleaning our core giving us the ability to have our Cleaning House – Sacred Sage Smudging Ceremony proudly from the bottom up. Out with the bad juju and in with the good mojo.

Bottoms Up!!

Project Heart

Today I, along with my daughter Heather, had the pleasure of giving of our time and ourselves to give back to a small community through a wonderful organization, the United Way.

I know some of you are rolling your eyes at the mere mention of the United Way. Yes, this is the organization that comes to our places of employment,
tugs at our heart strings for a money commitment from employees then in turn our employer pleads for all of us to contribute.

I use to be one of those eye rollers in my younger days. Thankfully I grew up and out of my self-centered stage of life. Okay… back to the theme of this blog (more on me me me in a Blog post later ~smiles~)

This morning was spent painting hallways, stairwells and baseboards in an old converted school that lives on today as a Civic Center. This center is there for this small community in Mascoutah IL. The center serves as the tornado and severe weather shelter, takes children in after school and feeds many of them dinner after they do their homework. Some of the children would not get anything to eat if it wasn’t for the lunches at school and suppers at the Civic Center. It is an activity center for older folks where they can enjoy card games and serious games of washers (it’s a mid west thing),TV’s, wii game system, exercise equipment (brand spanking state of the art new) and many other activities for kids of all ages. NO ONE gets turned away.

Last year, my husband and I donned our paint clothes and painted small bedrooms in the Violence Prevention Center. The VPC was a safe house for woman and their children that are in abusive relationships and have no where to go. They house these women, children and families, and help put their broken spirits back together. They help them find employment, permanent housing, counseling, clothing to begin a career so that they can survive on their own.

How are these wonderful places supported? Mostly through the United Way and the kindness of others.

In a few days the United Way is kicking off their 2010 campaign with the company I work for, Allsup. I am excited to make my bi-monthly contribution to this wonderful charity.
Think about what a difference you could make in the life of another when you are approached to make your contribution.

BTW – Project Heart is what Frank and I call our monthly commitment of finding some way to give back to those in need as a thank you for all we have.

To Spank or Not to Spank, That is the question

“Spare the rod and spoil the child” “Beat until submission” What is the difference between these two phrases? Age. It all comes down to age. Why do we think that children do not understand what we are saying and therefore deserve a spanking? By spanking we are communicating that we, the adult, have lost control and have now resorted to brute strength to obtain our desired result from the child. Why do we choose to spank rather than remove the child from the situation and speak with them? Of course it is going to take many a talking to until the child understands.

When we beat someone into submission, it is called domestic abuse. That is a crime. If the abused can be brought to submission after numerous beatings, it is because they have been broken…broken down in body and spirit. And this is an adult.

What do you think spankings do to children? Do we really think that they are thinking” hmmm I get spanked if I anger mommy or daddy, so I will anger them purposely”? NO, the child is trying to learn their boundaries and spread their wings. It is our job as parents, aunts, uncles, etc., to help the child learn right and wrong, good and dangerous and most importantly, love.

So next time you have the urge or the reaction to want to spank, take a moment and think about it. Do you really want to show the child that you are bigger and stronger or do you want to help the child understand with love and compassion?
The choice you make is critical.

Any thoughts to share?

Crazy is as Crazy Does

Have you ever not fit the mold? I haven’t fit in 50 plus years and you know what? I am fine with that. Living outside the box does come with complications and obstacles.

In my youth, I was seen as a problem child, too rebellious, to talkative, unable to follow directions... well you get the idea. I had friends so I couldn’t have been that odd. As I got older I tried things that interested me. I swam, played field hockey, played softball, love old movies, Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Shakespeare, Boons Farm Wild Mountain wine
, good herb and Salem cigarettes. The mid 70’s was an odd coming of age era. Living outside the box at that point in one’s life did not affect in any major way.

It wasn’t until the ending of my 2nd marriage that the complications and obstacles became truly apparent. In my mid 30’s, divorced for the 2nd time and actually felt good about the situation I found myself in. I had absolutely no marketable skills what so ever. I had little to no money. So I set out on my own for the first time in my life. I opened my wings and took off, the way I wanted to.
I was living in Atlanta GA, and packed up my meager belongings and moved to Southern Virginia. Still with no marketable skills, I decided to get my insurance license and give that a go. Selling insurance came easy to me and I was good at it. I soon tired of selling insurance. I was now living in Northern Virginia on the Potomac and decided to become a waitress. I really like serving others and again, I was very good at it.

After almost 2 years of living in Virginia, it was time to move on. Pennsylvania was my next stop. That is where I grew up. I was about to become a grandmother and wanted to be closer to my daughter. To earn my keep in PA, I found a job selling computer programs for construction companies via the telephone. Guess what? I was good at it.

Fast forward ahead, here I am living in Illinois, just across the river from St. Louis. I am now in my mid 40’s working in corporate cubicle life. I like what I do, yet I still live outside the box. And yes, it still gets me in trouble. I just returned to my cubicle life 2 weeks ago after a 5 months absence. I came back to my yearly review (it was to be given to me prior to my leave of absence). The review was the most abysmal review I have ever had in my life. I should have been fired. But I wasn’t. A Manager said they wanted me and my skills in their department. My skills? My skills? I have skills? The skill this manager was speaking about was my ability to see outside the box, to find creative solutions to problems, the ability to speak with anyone whilst making them comfortable.
So here I am, still marching to my own beat, unable to completely conform to the “norms” of society, stronger than ever and happier than most everyone I come into contact with at work.

Give me unconventional anytime.

I guess the point of this rambling is to let people know that it is okay to be different. Being different, eccentric, odd and the crazy old lady on the block makes you far more interesting that the clones you pass everyday, with the vacant look in their eyes and a smile lacking from their face.

Embrace yourself for being you, Unique, Interesting, Daring.. knowing you have earned the wrinkles of life.

Are We The Man In The Mirror?

I, like millions of people around the globe, watched the memorial for Michael Jackson. Each have their own opinion about Michael the man, father, son, brother, entertainer and child. I say child because to me, Michael was so childlike even at 50 years old. He had so much love in his heart that the more he gave of himself, even more would be replenished within him.
I was not a fanatical Michael Jackson fan. I was an average fan. I enjoyed his music, was in awe of his dancing and respected him for his philanthropic nature.
Was he odd? Yes, he had his odd moments just as we all do. Difference was that his were made public due to our insatiable need to be morbidly curious.
Did I find it odd that Michael shared his bed with children? Yes, I did and still do. Do I understand it? Yes, where Michael is concerned, I think I do understand his mode of thinking.

Stay with me on this. It strikes me odd that all of the Jackson children have a very soft spoken voice to them. They all seemingly have such a pure and good spirit to them. None seem to be struck with the arrogance that so many celebrities take on, especially Michael. With Michael knowing that his every move was photographed, taped and recorded what arrogance he would have to possess to think that he could molest children and get away with it. It so goes against the character of Michael. Was it inappropriate for him to share his bed with children, yes, in our world views and limitations, most definitely yes?
To me, it was as if Michael would live and relive his childhood through the children that he surrounded himself with. Michael was a genius when it came to music and concepts when on stage. Off stage, he remained a lonely man-child searching for a lost child, himself.

When I learned of Michael’s death, I was shocked, saddened, then a wave of relief fell over me as I knew that Michael would finally have the peace and the childhood he so desperately yearned for.

Everyone has their own opinion of Michael Jackson, as do I. I am not trying to say mine is the correct one, but it is the correct one for me.

I will miss your amazing spirit, the love you gave so freely and for all that you brought to my life. We grew up together Michael. Thank You Michael.

It's Never Too Late To Teach an Old Dog New Tricks

Live to Learn and Learn to Live.

These were the words that adorned the corners of my Junior High School at Governor Mifflin. They were a present from my parents graduating class,to the school district way back in the day.

Those 7 words intrigued me from the moment I could read. I passed by that building often, as it was on the main street of my town, Shillington PA.
Today, as a 50 year old woman, I am finally UNDERSTANDING the words and meaning held within them.

I have been off from work for the past 6 months and will be returning to the cubicle I call home from 7:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. on Monday, July 13th. During these past 6 months, I have been re-evaluating, re-vamping and re-storing my inner strength as well as my outer self. In reality, I have been heading in a new direction for the past year, but just amped it up these last 6 months.

I have embraced Reiki and Qigong with their benefits urging me on. Never have I felt so at peace and full of love as I do now. With each new day, I become more connected with the universe and feel the abundance of energy and compassion towards all.
I have met some amazing people through Twitter, Reiki and through happenstance. I am so thankful for all the connections I have made, for they have ALL helped me in my growth as a person.

I especially want to acknowledge my husband, Frank Dickinson. A woman could not ask for a better partner, husband, friend, cheerleader, companion or teacher than Frank. His unwavering support of me, no matter what the endeavor is an inspiration. For almost 14 years, he and I have been on this path together, growing in mind, body, spirit and unconditional love.

Thank you Frank, for who you are and who I am because of you.

On Monday, July 13th, I will be returning to my position at a company that I firmly believe in. They will be receiving a better version of RuthAnn. My wish is to make the universe proud of my growth thus far.

Open Up and Say Ahhhhhhhhh

July 1, 2009 Wednesday 5:27 p.m.

As I always do after an Attunement, I sit here at my keyboard to document my experience. I just received my Kundalini Reiki Level III Attunement.
Wow… what an open feeling I am left with. I liken it to the feeling I have after finishing Qi Gong. I feel taller, lighter and just very open.
A few minutes into the attunement, I felt the energy spiraling up my spine, in a circular motion. I could feel my spinal column sway side to side as the energy moved upward. It was moving like your body moves when you hear a piece of music that makes you move from the waist up.
After the circular motion ceased, I felt the energy moving freely up and down my chakras. Up and down, up and down, up and down. It seemed to be lifting me up in my chair... sitting more erect, posture improved, breathing steady and smooth.
My left eyeball began to bounce up and down… my sinuses opened and I began to smell the sweet scent of moss and earth. My ears opened and I could hear sounds with a clarity I have not had in a long time. From my 3rd eye, a large winged bird emerged pulling the energy through me out into the universe. I then saw a bright white light, a very peaceful comforting light that was sending energy back to me, into my 3rd eye and down my body. I would then feel the energy coming back up my body, being returned to the universe. Slowly the sending and sharing of the energy slowed to a gentle halt.
Allowing the energy to settle, I meditated for a few moments, making sure I had received the entire gift being sent to me. I opened my eyes stretched my body, stood to the most wonderful open & refreshed sense of myself… very open, in mind, body and spirit.

Namaste

On Top Of Old Smokey

I have been recuperating a knee replacement along with some other health issues the past few months. Being cooped up in the house has taken a toll on my state of sanity, ( along with those that live with me ). Reiki has helped me in so many ways, spiritually, energy and has also aided my healing. My wonderful husband took me on an amazing journey that was such a godsend, literally. We drove to TN to The Great Smokey Mountains. Now I have always been an ocean, NJ shore kind of gal, until last week. The power of the mountain took complete control of me. I embraced it with a passion that I did not know existed within. At first site of the great mountains before me, tears rolled down my cheeks. I do not know where they came from, but there they were. The beauty was overwhelming.

Frank, my husband, had lived in these mountains for 3 years and knew many nooks and crannies that he knew I'd enjoy. We went on driving adventures so that I could enjoy all of God's creation from the car. We spotted 3 different sightings of wild black bear, each with a momma bear and her cub.

The scenery was spectacular. We had pulled over at one point, to get out of the car and stretch a bit. We were right next to the brook. I sat upon one of the larger river stones by the edge as Frank went out into the brook looking for stones. As I sat there, my eyes caught a glimpse of a bird soaring towards me. It landed on the branch of a tree 4 feet in front of me. It was an owl. This was not a bird that I had expected to see, not in the least. It was an amazing sight to behold. The water was so intriging for me, especially the waterfalls and the cascades.

Thank you Frank, for sharing your magical mountain with me..... and helping me to put the world right again for me, in mind, body and spirit.

Foot Care for my Soul

Okay, I broke down today and had a pedicure...alright alright, I went for it and had the mani/pedi combo pack. It use to be that my feet were naturally polished and shiny from being a beach bum at the Jersey shore in the summertime. Now that I live in the Midwest, the broken seashells and sand are impossible to come by.
With my daughter Heather as my Pamper Self Thursday partner in crime. Off we went in search of the perfect summer color for our feet. And there it was. Heather and I stood in front of the color counter, our mouths barely able to contain the shrills of happiness when we saw the perfect color at the same time..flamingo pink!!

We eagerly scurried over to the recliner chairs and plopped our feet into the warm bubbly water. I turned on the chair and enjoyed a deep back, neck and buttocks massage whilst getting my feet scrapped, trimmed, buffed and polished. The angel that was caring for my feet ( she had to be an angel to tackled my poor old neglected feet)painted a pretty design on my big toes and put such a sheen on them. I was amazed when I finally peeked at the finished result.
Next we were onto the mani part of the experience.
I decided to go with the same color on my fingers, just because I could. While with my Nail Angel, she was on a call via speaker from her cell phone as she began my mani. When she got off the phone she was telling me that she was speaking with her aunt back in their home country, Vietnam. She went on to tell me that her aunt has a very old motor scooter that is broken. My angel wanted to buy her Aunt a new one but the Aunt kept refusing her offer. The Aunt said that she doesn't need a new one that she can get the one she has been using for 25 years fixed. This saddened my Angel. I asked my Angel how long she has been in America, to which she replied 5 years. I commented on how well she spoke English and asked if she new English before coming to America. She said that she knew a little, but it sounded different once she got here. She and a few other family members came to America to find work to make the lives of those left in Vietnam better. She went on to tell me that she watched TV and paid attention to customers when they came into the salon. Angel said that she tried to soften her tone since in her native tongue the words come out with a sharpness. I complimented her on beautiful tone with a cute accent. She giggled and thanked me. Before I knew it, we were finished and I had the prettiest tootsie toes and fingers. My Angel told me that she was going to send enough money to her Aunt so she can purchase a new scooter. Her eyes welted up as she thought about home. I knew she missed her home and the rest of her family.

When I left the salon, I knew that I had the best PamperMyselfThursday just from being graced with the foot Angel from Vietnam. She pampered not only my feet, but more importantly, my Heart. I am so grateful for all that I have and no longer felt guilty for pampering myself, for I knew that for what I received out of the day, an elderly woman in Vietnam is a bit closer to getting a new scooter. Apparently new scooters cost about $300... American dollars.

What I received today was priceless.

DAYDREAM BELIEVER

A daydream is a visionary fantasy experienced while awake, especially one of happy, pleasant thoughts, hopes or ambitions.(a b c d e Eric Klinger. Psychology Today. October 1987)

A daydream is that "fountain spurting," as the brain mixes together ideas, memories and concepts that are normally filed away in discrete mental folders. (Jonah Lehrer)

I read the following on a Blog by Jonah Lehrer and wanted to share it. Very interesting read!
"If you sit down and just watch your mind without asking it to do anything, without using some sort of meditation technique, it will switch into default mode and start thinking. If you watch this happen with your awareness and ask which of your senses seems to be involved with thinking, you will usually come up with not smelling, not tasting, not feeling, not seeing but 'hearing'. There seems to a little voice in your head; there may also be images that arise so one is also 'seeing' some thoughts. Try consciously thinking a thought or picturing someone you know to verify this.

If one is not aware of this default mode, one will get sucked into it most of the time and be thinking 24/7 and not be aware of it. Usually the train of thought is a running commentary on how we are doing, what's going to happen, what's already happened; it's not very creative chatter. To get creative insights which also arise as thoughts that we 'hear', it is usually necessary to clear out the default mode chatter to allow creative insights to arise. They will arise if 1) you have asked a question and 2) your mind and body are relaxed, and 3) you are not absorb in the default mode chatter."

Sunday's, I Love Sunday's

There is something so wonderful about Sunday's. For me, the day holds such calm. This especially true as of late, since I have been getting proper sleep at night. I have been living with insomnia for at least 20 years, if not more. My body would run on approximately 4 hours of sleep a night. These 4 hours were broken up, they were not straight through. My body is still adjusting to the gift of calm it has been given. I wish I could describe how much better I feel mentally and physically since I now get between 7 & 8 hours of sleep a night.
My husband is still adjusting to this as well. He is now the one who gets up and brews the coffee or tea! It is a welcomed task for him as he is so happy that I am finally getting my sleep.
How did this occur? One simple word... REIKI

Reiki doesn't require belief. It is.

Follow your intuition.

Where My Spiritual Wind is Blowing

Life is hard, M Scott Peck

Yes, life is hard, but it doesn't have to be harsh. I have been drawn to my spiritual self for sometime now. I have come to realize that I will not allow anyone to Harsh My Mellow ever again. This includes myself!!

I have allowed myself a luxury called self indulgence. How I indulge myself does not take away from the loves in my life, it enhances them. I now allow myself the time to rest, to seek, to learn and to love deeper.

I have begun a Spiritual Journey @... My Inner World... such a calming way to begin the day.

I have also been receiving Reiki Healings from my husband, Frank who is a Level 2 Kundalini Reiki Practitioner.

It has been years since I have strung more than 1 night of full sleep together. Since receiving the Reiki Healings, I have slept through the night for over 1 week and my new knee (knee replacement 6 weeks ago) is allowing me to move about at a good pace. My Doctor and Physical Therapist tell me I way ahead of schedule.

Coincidence? Naaaa, I feel the energy!
